I know there are many things only raw feeders get excited about, and the more I get into this the more my husband reminds me ;).   Saturday I came home with a new Cleaver, I had to let everyone I know, plus some, haha.  And, I also had to make an insane Jack Nicholson face while showing it off but, hey, that’s me.

BUT, the best part of today JUST happened!  As an early birthday gift and a unique way to spend time with my father who has finally! retired we are taking the below course in May.  I am beyond excited and know this is not normal but, also know it is. 🙂

Sutter Meats in Northampton, MA does a 2 hour Pork Fabrication Class with a locally raised pig and we get to take some home!  This is going to come in handy the next time I bring home a a full bone in pork loin (as pictured above).  I won’t have to stare at it for 20 minutes scratching my head wondering how I am going to do it.  I will actually learn what to do with it and how.  Hopefully the next time I have one my husband won’t walk into the kitchen and ask why the dog is licking the wall, only to find out a piece of meat flung onto it in my insane attempts to cut through the bones.  The only catch here is the dogs are not going to get to eat it, it’s actually for my husband and I.  Well, maybe they will have a little taste, we shall see……
